rain + boots = fun puddle stomping.

rain, rain go away.....at least until i can get outside & splash in the puddles!!! =)
carter got some new rain boots & he got to try them out the other day! the rain let up for just a little bit & the sun came out. he was antsy to get out! immediately he headed for the puddle that builds up on lola & papi's driveway. how does he know what to do w/ boots on?! must be innate in every lil boy. he loved being out there so much that he didn't want to come back inside....boo hoo! i am sure there will be more puddles on another day....after all we do live in the pacific northwest! :) thank goodness for rain boots!

father's day.

for father's day this year rj got a mountain bike (kona, fire mountain) so he could ride to work! he actually got it a few weeks ago but i thought i'd post some pics of him on his sweet new ride =)
it takes him about 14 mins or so to get to work (its all down hill pretty much!) but then on the way home it takes him much longer! there is a big, long hill he has to chug up! no thanks! hahaha!


then for my dad we had 2 of his photographs that he took in Maui blown up & printed on canvas! he always jokes around about being a "professional" photographer so we thought it would be cool to have his very own artwork! he loved them!

later on that day carter got to take a ride with Papi on the tractor!!! he was so excited! he was making the tractor noise of "zhhhrrr...zhhhrrrr" the whole time!!

Centralia.

Last Thursday, my mom, dad, carter & I all drove up to Centralia to meet my aunt Mitzi (aka Tía). She was in Seattle on business so she drove down & met us for dinner. For those of you who don't know, my aunt is from Florida so we thought it would be fun to see her since we don't get to see her that often! So that's why we drove up!

basket.

yesterday i had a little spur-of-the-moment photo shoot with carter! over the weekend i got a huge basket (thanks to my neighbor, kealey & our garage sale!) & thought it was a perfect prop for photo shoots. so i tried it out on carter! it was such hard work! i got a workout!! haha. he climbed in the basket, then back out, then back in & repeat...it was so much fun & its a great basket for kiddos & photography! (thanks kealey!!!)

hello all! hope that your weekend was good. ours was!
tonight we enjoyed dinning al fresco on the back porch since its been SO hot here! Rj bbq'd some very yummy chicken & turkey sausages from Trader Joes. It was Carter's first time eating them & he loved them!! Just take a look at his face!!! He had ketchup & mustard all the way down to his elbows! yay for eating outside!!!


His new fav thing to do: dip anything in ketchup! YUM! haha!!
