inside house tour part 1

ok folks, here is a brief sneak peek on the inside of the new casa!

the front entry or foyer {if you want to be fancy}
big double doors & huge ceilings make it look and feel grand!
where you see the boxes in the other room is the formal dinning room & living room

curved staircase
C finds this especially fun to slide down feet first on his tummy.
he claims this is the best way to go down
the stairs. i am terrified he is going to break something, like an appendage.

looking down on to the entry

 looking in to the kitchen from the family room
fyi...the rug is gonna go &
the kitchen is going to be painted

kitchen! {its a bit cluttery & i have all my paint/fabric swatches scattered about :)

{we're going on a bear hunt..}

that's what the kids said as we left to go hike/explore around the area. there is miles and miles of trails all over the neighborhood area/woods.

this is the sidewalk that is along the main road of our neighborhood. perfect for bike riding, walking or running. & the view is not so bad either ;)

there are lots of little ponds and this one had ducks in it

the little village on the Ridge. totally has a feel of a ski resort village, so cute.

 we headed off on a trail into the woods {this is when the kids started singing, "we're going on a bear hunt....again. they even had to put on their backpacks filled with 'hiking' supplies!}

 this is back towards the intersection to the main village area.

it was great to get out and explore the new area!

Halloween!

halloween was super fun this year. Carter's class went on a field trip to a local area farm & they got to stomp out in the patch to pick out a pumpkin! which was so great because we moved right before his previous school went on their pumpkin patch field trip. so he was excited he got to go this time!
{& i got to go too!}

during the weekend before halloween my parents were in town & so the kids roped Lola into carving pumpkins with them!

{did you notice the splotches of paint on the walls in random places?! i am testing colors!}

then on halloween, we took the kids to RJ's work to trick-or-treat!
Carter was a sheriff {or cowboy, he went back and forth! ha!} & Kennedy was Ariel from the
Little Mermaid. Her wig cracks me up!

then back to our neighborhood for some more trick-or-treating!

getting settled.

SO! as you may already know, we moved! & if you are not caught up on all things casadelray,
then read here.  we are slowly getting settled in. most of the inside boxes have been unpacked & its been really fun to organize and put things away. so far, we are loving the area we chose to live in, especially the incredible view we get to look at daily from the whole backside of the house!
i will post pics of the inside soon, i am not ready for you, internet, to meet the inside just yet {too much clutter & no painting has occurred!}

Our new house! :)

move in day. whoa. boxes. & lots of 'em!

every morning the sunrise is totally different
the view from our backyard! ah-mazing.

the other week is was rainy over towards the mountains but then sun was shinning at the same time which created this gorgeous double rainbow!

& this past weekend, the tops of the mountains have a little dusting of snow!
