haircut!

Today I chopped my hair off! I've been wanting to do it for some time now & finally got the chance to!! She cut about 4-5 inches off! I showed her a pic of a katie holmes hair cut that I liked and went for it! I think its cute but it'll take some getting used to! I cannot pull it up in a hair tie! Must go shopping for cute headbands I suppose! ;)

We also cut Carter's hair today too! I'll post pics of his cuteness soon! He looks like such a lil boy now!

baby shower

Last Sunday a few of my friends, Kealey, Molly & my Mom threw me a baby shower at my mom's house! Plus it was great that my aunt Mitzi (Carter's Tia) got to be there too! There was so much good food & yummy treats! 

Kealey made this adorable diaper cake! It's just a decorative piece but its made out of diapers so the mom-to-be gets some essentials out of it! Clever! 

Molly brought the tasty delights! Yummy cupcakes & fruit to dip in CHOCOLATE! Oh man it was the best!!!! I have been craving strawberries like crazy lately too!

The gift/sign-in table!

I received so many cute things! I got a pink soccer ball for her!!! haha!! I also got a gift certificate to go towards the awesome B.O.B duallie stroller I want!!! yay! Oh & lots of clothes too! From my mom, dad & grandparents I got a bag full of wonderful blankets, a hooter hider (to cover up while nursing!), diaper holder, a sling! My mom & Grandma had sewn (& my dad helped too!) all of these without me knowing! Good job guys!!! 

More importantly I was surrounded by wonderful family & friends!

Laurie & I  have known each other since high school but our boys are buddies! They are a week a part in age! So we have lots of play dates!

It was so fun to be showered with fun things again but this time it was all girly stuff! =) Now the count down is really on! hahaha! 6 weeks to go!!!!!!!!! yikes.

Since Tio (Carter calls him Toto!) & Tia were here for the weekend we decided we must celebrate C's bday again! Only this time is was just family that came over. My mom had bought a him a "chomp-chomp" cake pan & of course C thought it was the best! When he saw the cake he exclaimed, "oh! chomp chomp!!!!!" 

After we sang happy birthday to him and set the cake down in front of him, he leaned in and gave the chomp a big smooch! Then he literally CHOMPED down on the chomp-chomp!!! HAHAHA!

This past week was really nice here! It felt like spring! What a tease because I know that it won't last. boo! So C & I went out exploring. We went hiking along the trail that runs by our house. We found rocks & of course he had to collect them! We also found a tiny stream & he asked if "chomp-chomps" (a.k.a alligators) were in it! haha! He thinks that chomps live in every body of water! 

It was so beautiful out it was hard to go back in! 

We also enjoyed some play time at the park! C had a blast going up and down the slide a million times!!!! 

Then when I could finally drag him in for some lunch, we enjoyed a special treat of watching Cars & eating lunch on the couch! What a good day in C's book! =)

p.s. we had another busy weekend this past weekend! Carter's Tio & Tia were here & we celebrated his bday again! I also had a baby shower!!! So I'll post soon pics from it soon!

birthday filled weekend!

This weekend was packed with all sorts of celebrations! Friday night began with my sister's birthday. Then Saturday morning we ran down town to pick up these tasty delites from Saint Cupcake. They are the most delicious cupcakes around! We got Carter these for his 1st birthday so we thought we'd continue with the tradition!

Then Saturday night we headed to one of Carter's buds house for his birthday party! Laurie (went to high school with her!) & I are expecting our 2nd babes at the same time! She is due 7 weeks after me!

We left that party for another party! This one was with RJ's family! They lump all the birthdays of the month together and celebrate all together! So Carter got to celebrate his bday then too! They even made him a special "dig-dig" cupcake!!!

On Monday it was C's actual birthday! So we threw him a little party! I had Cars themed party favors for the kiddos & we had chicken nuggets, mac n cheese & fruit for lunch!




Then it was time to sing "happy birthday"! Carter got so excited!!! He was so funny trying to blow out the candles. His blow was so tiny it didn't do anything! So I had to help him along!

Then it was chow time!!! All the kids shoved the cupcakes in their mouths! It was so funny! Trenton even asked for "more green please" (the frosting!! hahaha!!!)


The party was a hit & Carter had a wonderful time! I can't believe he is two!!!! See more of the party pics here. What a long party-filled weekend!!! Glad it's over so we can rest!!!

8 weeks left!

Yep, 8 weeks left! Scary!!! haha. I am feeling ok, at times I am really uncomfortable. It's hard to bend & twist my body while chasing after a 2 yr old all day! When my heartburn flares up it feels as though I could shoot flames out my mouth! yay.
I had an appt on Friday & it went well. She had a good heart rate & I gained 5lbs in these past 4 weeks! I am measuring on the small side (my fundal height...aka belly! haha) So I have to be sent in for an ultrasound just to be sure she is gaining enough weight. My dr. thinks it just because of how she is laying in there (really low! UGH!) So when I went to schedule my ultrasound they couldn't get me in for 3 weeks! UGH!! I don't want to wait that long! ahhhhh!!!!
I am starting to be really uncomfortable at night. I feel like a beached whaled when I try to turn to my other side or get up to go the bathroom the numerous time through out the night! So in that way I cannot wait for these 8 weeks to fly by. But then I think about even worse sleep deprivation that awaits me and well...I can hold out longer! haha!
This weekend we moved the bassinet up to our room & got a new car seat! Yikes time is ticking down fast!





I snaped this on our way to my sister's for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Which marks the beginning of a super birthday filled weekend! I'll post more about that soon!

The other day we got out some paints, paper & tractors, dig-digs, a wheel loader & headed to the table for some art fun!! This was a great project to do with the preschool kiddies where I worked pre-Carter! At first he didn't like to get paint on his fingers (that's such an RJ trait!)!! But then he got in to it and "drove" his trucks around. He must of sat there for over 40 mins driving the trucks through the paint! He would say, "more paint momma" and point to where he wanted me to squirt it. Then away he drives! At one point he accidentally stuck his finger in his mouth & immediately made the "oh-this-is-super-yucky" face!!! We had a lot of fun & I got some great pics!
