hip, hip hooray!

its so weird to say that i am a mom of a 4 year old.

four. year. old. wow!

last day of being 3.

a guide on what to do on your last day of being 3,

before entering in to a new world of doing "4-year old" things...

while munching on some cereal & delicious strawberry/banana smoothie for breakfast, tell your toy fireman you'll toss him in the cereal if he tries to steal some of yours.

can't get that song that you've got humming around in your noggin out, of well, your noggin?

improvise, find whatever you've got {toothbrushes work well & a pair of stools} and play drums &

sing it out as loud as you possibly can :)

next you should probably get dressed.

& act really silly.

then stop being silly & let your mama take a fantastic photo of your beautiful smiling face,

it'll melt her heart. it's worth it.

because there is always some sort of construction going on, you should oversee it.

& bring your friend Thomas along too.

at around noonish your tummy is most likely growling.

so, have a picnic lunch outside with your adorable sister.

the sun is shinning.

what is more perfect?

oh, probably the PB&J you requested. that's perfect.

after you've had some quiet time, your body is ready to explode with energy!

go to the park to climb like a monkey

& run around like you're in a race.

oh &, go down the slide & let your hair get all static-y.

per your request, eat quesadillas for dinner.

take an enormous bite & try to talk to the rest of us & watch the huge piece come flailing out of your mouth & land in your lap.

see, i told you not to talk with food in your mouth!

you should listen to your mother.

after dinner clean up your toys {this is important!} & head for the bath.

wash off all the dirt you collected while running wild at the park.

& make lots of tiny waterfalls while doing so.

its the end of the day & i am sure you have lots of food scum built up on your chompers.

brush them.

this is the best part of the day, snuggle up & read stories.

especially ones about birthday monsters! because tomorrow is your birthday

& you hope no birthday monsters show up!

after the story, hop in to bed!

whew! being 3 is hard work!

C "is tomorrow my berfday?"

Me: "yes, tomorrow is your birthday"

C "when the sun comes up, is it my berfday then?!"

Me: "yep."

C "Mom, i'm sooooo excited!"

& in the shape of the yummiest, triple chocolate baked goodness

& best of all, in the form of kisses, hugs & snuggles from

all three of my Loves!
