have you heard about this so-called, Pioneer Woman? ok, so maybe i am late to jump on the bandwagon {hopefully you are too & if not & you already have well, why didn't you inform me?!}....but she {or a collective 'they'?} is a-mazing! seriously. i want to pick up the fam & move next door to her, & become her BFF!

upon entering her website i was instantly entranced. so many great recipes & the photography alone makes my heart happy! those of you who really know me that the way to my heart is food & photography {well, ok there's more ways; love from my hubby & my kids but that's besides the point here}.

these have my mouth watering!

i for one, am so picky about my salsa too. store bought jarred salsa will never do. see this, make this & you'll understand.

i could've sworn it was thursday when i woke up this morning. nope. its only wednesday.

so far the week has been filled with meltdowns, tears, sibling fights, picky eaters, pee-pee accidents, super independent little ones who insist on picking out their own outfits{tutu? soccer uni's? or perhaps no clothes at all?!}, no naps & giant messes created by tiny tornados.

the weekend-light at the end of this tunnel is so dim!

he uses "no thank you" whenever he doesn't want to do something. which i find hilarious. it happens a lot around here. before it was it was always, "NEVER! I'M NEVER GONNA DO IT!"

mommy: please bring your plate & water bottle to the kitchen after you're done with your lunch.

bumble bee soccer

before there ever was a carter in my life, i dreamed of having a son who'd play soccer & got giddy at the mere thought of going to watch him play.

well, my day has come! we signed C up for a soccer class, full of 3 & 4 year olds learning how to play the sport! its so stinking cute watching their little bodies run around out there, buzzing around like lil' bumble bees & try and wrangle that ball around only using their feet!

not sure what he is doing here?! touchdown maybe? wrong sport, bub!

the best gift ever.

ok, so that might be a giant overstatement & a tad unfair to all the other gifts i have ever received. but this definitely ranks really, really high on the list.

tears welled up my eyes & spilled over. i couldn't hold them back. i saw the first giant canvas of my children then the biggest surprise, 2 more extremely beautiful canvases! oh, joy!!!!

a holly jolly Christmas

i can't believe how fast Christmas came & went! the holiday season was so fantastic this year. especially because C really understood what was going on. everything was so magical & exciting to him.

Christmas Eve C was reluctant to go to bed because he was too excited & was determined to hear Santa's boots on the roof & the bells on his sleigh! haha! On Christmas morning he woke up disappointed, "but mommy, i didn't hear santa's boots or hear the ringing of the sleigh bells!" after quick convincing to see what was waiting for him downstairs, he jumped up & ran downstairs! once he rounded the corner & saw the bountiful that was awaiting he exclaimed, "uh! who left this stuff here?!!!" :)

no snow this year but it was a chilly Christmas eve morning

C picked out peppermint white chocolate cookies {which he & i made together} & chocolate milk for Santa & a carrot for the reindeer & left them in his kitchen because that's where you go when you're hungry :)

we spent the first day of the new year, the new decade lounging in
pjs, cuddling on the couch, naps with the sounds of football on tv in
the background.
