All aboard!

It's a train-tastic day!

camping in the rain

its a lovely spring day here in the PNW. which means its raining. bleh. 

so we decided what better way to spend it than by setting up a tent 

& go camping!

camping is not complete without a campfire. 

& smores of course! 

{ours consist of chocolate & graham bunnies & teeny marshmallows!}

oh, happy day!

the sister had a great birthday. it really feels like these past two years were such a blur. time just zoomed by at warp speed. what happened? seriously. 

for breakfast, i made special banana pancakes with mini m&m's. 

we enjoyed a morning of playing that the children's museum. i hadn't been there since i was a kid. it was soooo much fun. their little minds spun out of control with what to do first! the grocery store was a definite fav! i went to take a photo of C & he goes, "move out of the way mom. i am grocery shopping!"

the next fav was the water works area. 

the dig pit was also a fav! 

& it wouldn't be a birthday without a stop at St. Cupcake. mmm yum. 

this is my favorite photo from the day. hands folded sweetly up by her chubby cheeks, patiently waiting to make a wish.

last day of being 1!

today is the day to goodbye to your baby days!

& hello to big girl days!

first of all,

how cool is it that on the day you say bye-bye to babyhood,

you wake up & the easter bunny left you gifts!

so wander over & check out your loot!

score! you got a microphone to drive your parents crazy,

uh, i mean, sing beautiful songs for everyone!

since you stayed the night & Lola & Papi's, the easter bunny left you extra goodies!

lucky girl.

{& nothing says morning like some sweet bed hair}

after a delicious breakfast,

get dressed in your cutest dress for church.

then pose for a family photo, because your mother insists on it :)

then stand next to your bubba & smile sweetly,

no wait, make faces because that's better than smiling sweetly.

duh.

you're worn out after having fun in sunday school,

so snuggle up with your Papi & take a snooze ;)

hooray! when you wake up its time for an easter egg hunt!

{inside of course, because outside its freezing & feels like january, not april.}

search & search for eggs!

quickly bust open your eggs & eat as many m&m's or mints that were hiding in them

before your mother sees!

shout "chocolates!!" every time you find one!

during dinner, opt to sit with Papi

because sitting all alone in a big chair

is lonely & you'd like the company :)

you're feeling creative during your bath,

so ask for crayons & draw "pretty circles"

on the way back to your house, gaze out the window

& look for baby diggers, trains & what ever else tickles your fancy.

That is, until, your eyes have to shut because you are

tuckered out from saying goodbye to being 1!

you'll need your beauty rest because tomorrow you'll celebrate being TWO!
