Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! As you can see C is going to be a turtle! & a super cute one at that! He cracks me up in this outfit! He loves it & doesn't ever want to take it off!!
We are going to take him trick or treating around to a few houses & then pass out candy for the remainder of the evening!
He hadn't discovered what candy was yet until the other day when dumping out his bucket of candy he collected at RJ's work. He bit into one and then quickly realized it was something yummy...."mmmm" he said! just great! I was hoping to hold off on the candy thing for one more year! oh well. Have a safe & happy halloween!

16 weeks

So I hit the 16 week mark! I can't believe how fast it's going! My belly is definitely popped out now! Goodbye regular jeans & sleeping on my tummy! :( Actually sleeping on my side isn't so bad this time around...maybe my body got used to it from being prego before. My appetite is seriously annoying me. I am SO hungry every 2 hours or so & nothing sounds good to eat! So I stand there and stare at the fridge or pantry while nothing sounds good to eat. UGH! I have begun to hate cooking! :( The only thing I've craved so far is mashed potatoes & gravy & another time it was an orange. sigh.
The next appointment is next week! yay! And we'll get to schedule the ultrasound! I am so excited to find out what Carter is going to have for a sibling!!! Now we just need to figure out some creative way to tell the folks!
Oh some other exciting news....last night I felt the baby squirm a bit! I think I've felt it before but I wasn't quite sure if it was gas bubbles or not! heehee....

this week

This week started out fantastic with 2 days of gorgeous weather! Warm fall sunshine!!! yay! So we took a walk both days! The first walk we went up to a new development that is going in to see the waterfalls at the entrance. Carter was in awe of them! He got so mad when we left!

Then we stopped for a quick photo shoot in front of some really pretty golden colored trees! He didn't want to pay attention to me, the cars driving by were much cooler!

Along our walk I stopped to take a pic of this rad looking tree! The sun was glowing from behind & it was so goregous I just had to stop!
The next day we wandered over to the neighbors to play outside. All the kids were out & riding bikes, which Carter happens to love right now! I guess we know who will be getting a lil tricycle for Christmas! ;) He was also enthralled with their kitty in the window! He was saying "hello" to him! It was so cute!! He won't be getting one of those for Christmas!
Then today C has decided he was going to wear his turtle hat from his halloween costume all morning! He wouldn't take it off! He even wore it outside on our walk! haha! He also insisted on wearing his PJ's (they have a wheel loader on the front) & his frog boots, backwards! HAHAHA. so funny.

That about sums up our week! Tomorrow we are taking C to RJ's work for a kids halloween party! Should be fun!!

crafty

The last few days we've been crafty around here! With it pouring out we had to have something to do!! This weekend I had a baby shower to go & so I got crafty & made some super cute girly burp cloths! It was so fun to make them! =)

Carter & I also got busy baking cupcakes for a party we were going to on Friday night w/ RJ's co-workers. Yes, he helped! Talk about MESSY!!! He wanted to stir the batter & before I knew it he had dumped half the water from the measuring cup in the bowl & half all over the counter!!! ahhh!!! Then he started throwing things in the sink! It was a fun afternoon project for us though!

Afterwards C enjoyed a yummy cupcake! He'd say "MMMMM" at each bite! hahaha!!!

Then once they cooled RJ & I decorated halloween style! We found some fun gummy candies that were in the shapes off eyeballs, feet, and thumbs! RJ made spiders out of M&M's & twizzlers or sour apple punch straws & we also made tombstones out of hershey's bars & we put a foot at the end of the grave! They looked so good & yummy!

Carter also got crafty & did some finger painting! He was so funny at first...he didn't want to put his fingers in the paint. Then he tasted it & thought it was yucky! ha! Then he got into & even painted his hair! lovely Carter!

As you can see we had a good weekend! Hope your weekend was good too!

Ok so yesterday was a boring day! It was raining so hard out & we were stuck inside all day! One can only play w/ the same construction tucks so many times a day or watch the same "big digger" videos on youtube before you start to lose it!!! hahaha!!!! we tried coloring but then C ran around the living room w/ marker in hand. so i put the kabosh on that activity quick! so to pass the time i got out my camera and began taking shots of random things...things that were involved in our rain-filled-stuck-inside day! enjoy!

second tri & seahawk sunday

Hello all!

I hope every one's weekend was great! The sun came out here! yay! We enjoyed beautiful sunny fall days! It was great! It was a busy weekend for us (well for me)! I had two photo shoots lined up for this weekend. One was a pregnancy shoot & the other was a family shoot. Both were so much fun! So this next week will be busy for me as I edit away like crazy!

This weekend also marks the beginning of the second trimester for me! YAY! I am feeling so much better! My energy is starting to return! So now I can organize my house like crazy (its been driving me nuts!)...hahaha! Oh & my sister-in-law (SIL) is also expecting her 2nd! She is due just a week & a half after me!!! Isn't that exciting?!! We had our first kiddos close too (they are 4 mos apart!)
So I posted a couple of belly pics. Just a little pooch....I am in the awful fat stage...where nothing really fits and I just feel yucky! BLAH!

He plays middle linebacker and is RJ's fav on the team (b/c he hits hard...haha...boys...) In the words of RJ, "he is a true Samoan bone crusher". aww thats nice...

tumbling

I signed Carter up for a tumbling class! The class is once a week & its so fun! He LOVES it!!! The class is full of almost 2 year olds to 3 yr olds. So its BUSY! But so fun. He just runs around from mat to mat & climbing all over them. He'll go up a pie shaped mat and "count" (it sounds like counting all though the words don't sound like #s!! haha) and then say "go" and run down!!! Its so cute!!!
So last class I busted out my big professional camera, felt like a totally over-doer of a mom...all the other moms had their little point and shoots and then there's me w/ a ginormous camera w/ a giant zoom lens! Like Carter was some professional athlete in training or something! hahaha. Oh well...I got some good shots! =)

Ok so this weekend we went to a "rock star" theme party at our friends house! The requirements were that you were supposed to come dressed as a rock star. So RJ went as Slash (the guitarist from Guns N Roses or now Velvet Revolver) & I went as his girlfriend! We found most of our outfits from Goodwill, the Halloween store or our closet! We had so much fun dressing up! The cigarettes were fake, my beer bottle had water in it & RJ's brown bag had a coke zero in it! HAHA! I even had a big fake rose tattoo on my back shoulder! We were smoking hot! haha!!! Everybody loved our outfits!
Kurt Cobain showed up, Fergie, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Nicks, K-Fed & Britney put their differences aside and came, Mick Thomspon from Slip Knot, P-Diddy, various guitarists, & fans also made an appearance! We had so much fun. There was guitar hero to rock out on the XBOX 360!
We got lots of photos of all the other rockers but they'll have to wait b/c we are making a special paparazzi style slide show for everyone else to see! I'll post it later!

the pumpkin patch!

Friday we went to the pumpkin patch down on Sauvie's Island. I was worried that the weather wasn't going to hold since it had been down pouring all week but thankfully it did! It sunny, chilly, but sunny! It wasn't muddy either! yay!


When we first got there Carter marched right on over to where the tractor hay rides were! Of course! And low in behold, the tractor was orange just like Papi's!!! He was super excited! He didn't really want to ride on the hay bales, he wanted to drive!!! hahaha!!! The ride out to the patch was fun. Of course Carter didn't want to get off the ride once we got there!
