oh, happy day!

dear kennedy,

today marks the day that we celebrate you & the wonderful blessing you are to us. you are truly a gift from God.  when i say the words, 'today she is three. three!' over and over in my head, i just can't get over that fact that yes indeed you are three. how in the world can that be already?! but yet at the same time, it feels like you've always been with us.

i feel like i could stare at your beautiful face all day & most often i do. just gaze & in complete awe, that you are a part of me. my heart fills with so much joy that it wants to explode & i shake my head in disbelief that this all must be some glorious dream & that i did nothing to deserve you. God's grace is definitely in full bloom in you.

i love your big saucy brown eyes. & i think you know how to work them to get your way already. your giggles and full blown laughter is music to my ears & i love how you get the hiccups when you've laughed for too long. it makes me giggle to watch you run with a little skip in your step. your personality is so bouncy that it must shine through even while you run.

you adore your big brother so much & i know he feels the same about you. it melts my heart to see you two pal around, little BFF's & also you two can drive me insane when you've spent too much time together. but no matter what, you two will always be my greatest accomplishment. i simply could not ask for anything more.

it always shocks me how much you love princesses! maybe its because i am not big in to such things, but you certainly are & that is completely ok. you are my princess. {& your daddy's too!} pink is your favorite and we can't forget purple either! you love puppies and kitties and will quite frequently pretend to be one or the other & will recruit me to be the 'momma' one. even though you like sparkly pink things, you do also love to play soccer, run, jump, climb and play with bubba's firetrucks & construction toys. & let's not forget about how much you love bugs! {buggies, as you call them} you even picked up a snake {it was a tiny one, but still! eek.} without even blinking & you loved it. you even dig after worms with your bare hands. your big brother won't even do such things!

if you could eat fruit all day, you totally would. & let's not forget about 'shocolates'. my, oh my, do you love shocolates! {which makes me smile, because i love chocolate as well!}

simply put, you. are. amazing.

you make my heart so happy.

happy birthday my sweet little love.

saying farewell to 2 year old days.

well! today is the day!
you get to say au voior to those little 2 year old days
& say bonjour to big 3 year old days!

since you've been jonesing since yesterday to play with your new playdoh ice cream factory
  {thanks Lola & Papi!},
it'd be a fabulous idea to kick off the day doing that.
make tiny ice creams, lick it for reals, why not?
 2 year olds can still get away with doing such thing right?!
right. i agree.

after a morning of licking pretend playdoh ice cream, your tummy begins to growl.
ask politely to have a picnic lunch on the couch with your cute bubba.
AND! get to watch your new current fav flick, Tangled.
{that girl has some seriously long hair. dang.}

inspiration will strike & you'll need to take immediate action after the credits roll.
quickly put on your new Tangled princess dress {thanks Tita Michelle!} makeshift some long, luscious locks
{thanks to your mother for helping} & prance around yelling, "Eugene! Eugene!"
{if you haven't seen this movie, you must. immediately.}

after princess play wears you out, recruit your brother to play My Little Ponies with you.
shhhh, don't tell his friends! but it seems he is enjoying it!

when your mother is not looking, sneak off in to the bathroom and climb in to the sink.
you must be part kitty, right?

make silly faces in the mirror, after all, no one is watching!

 after your momma finds you in the sink, you'll be required to snuggle with her.
suggest to make silly faces and take pictures with her phone. you'll both laugh &
she'll totally forget that you were just curled up in the sink! ha!

once the afternoon starts to wind down, you realize that it must be dinner time soon,
your tummy is hungry!
suggest pancakes for dinner.
oh &, a smoothie.
yes. that'd be perfect.

slurp up your yummy dinner!

the meal is finished and you feel like playing a quick game of "lets-be-super-silly-&-run-away-from-mommy&daddy-instead-of-get-jammies-on". its the best.
to you anyways, not for your parents.

your giggles are out but the sugar bugs on still running rampant in your mouth!
ahhhhh! have your brave daddy get. them. out!

finally its time to snuggle in for some stories.
pick the "animals" book which has spiders and all sorts of buggies in it
& exclaim, "ahhh! spider!" when you get to that page!

at just for good measure, if your 2 year old days haven't received a proper send off by now,
make one. more. silly. face.
there.
¡adios!

hello, big girl, 3 year old days.

snow day.

a couple weeks ago we had a teensy bit of snow fall! it was super exciting!
C was beyond excited and couldn't wait to get out and play, regardless of how little snow we got! but hey, we'll take whatever we get, right?! :)

the sister getting her gear on all by herself.

put 'em to work!

hahaha....she looks like a pink marshmallow.

how 'bout lets make a snow angel?!

{its December?}

how did that happen?
seriously.

it seemed like summer whizzed by, followed quickly by fall. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzooooooooooooooooom.
gone.

the summer was packed with lots of photography, which was great! we got to meet a lot of new people and capture some great moments. you can catch up & read about it here.

the fall was lovely. the colors. so vibrant. ok, so the fall here is so short lived, but its wonderful.
i am so glad i shot these photos of the kids when i did. b/c the next week. all those gorgeous leaves, gone. all gone.

i turned a significant # in years this fall. my birthday celebration was fab. so far, the new # is great. no complaints here. ;)

now its time for the holidays. our Thanksgiving was good. we were low key this year. lounged in sweats. my mom, sis & i cooked up a storm. a few extra guests joined us this year. unwanted guests. teeny-tiny buggers. head lice. yep. C got 'em. so we were forced to stay in & pick out bugs, wash load after load after load. ugh. a week later, & the buggers are still around. go away!

C is really into Christmas this year. He had a count down to Thanksgiving & even begged for some holiday decor up before then.....but the day after turkey day, meant no holding back! Christmas lights must go up! Christmas decor, must go up! Next up, our tree....which we aren't getting until this weekend!

So sorry for allowing massive amount of time pass before I updated this thing! Promise to be better at it!

besos.
