chomp-chomp!

this year C is going to be none other than an alligator for halloween! haha! so the other night he tried on his costume & he was the cutest chomp i've ever saw! he was so funny in that thing. he kept tackling both rj & i and roaring {do chomps roar?! i guess he does!}.  he was running around like crazy too! then we went outside to see our pumpkins lit up because he wanted to see the "fire". he's so cute!

last night we carved our pumpkins! at first, carter would not even get close to the pumpkin goop! RJ scooped some out and put it on his arm and he pulled his arm back & goes, "don't put it on ME!" hahaha! then after a little bit he was digging his whole arm in there & scooping out all the seeds on to the counter! {i scrubbed like mad to get that crap off of there afterwards! haha!} 

when asked what he wanted on his "baby" pumpkin, of course he chose a chomp! 

kennedy just sat in her high chair & watched all the action. i am sure next year they both will be arm deep in pumpkin goop!

This week the weather has been absolutely amazing. Beautiful sunny days, a tad chilly,  but it feels good to snuggle up in a warm coat. I know our days of getting outside are numbered so the kids & I went for a leaf hunting walk. C had fun collecting all the different colors & flinging them in the air & watching them fall. K had fun stuffing them in her mouth! hahaha!

Oh, how I love fall!

i finally got around to taking, editing & posting kennedy's 6 months portraits! this is my favorite one. i have a photo exactly like this of carter when he was 6 months! as soon as i retrieve it from my other hard drive i'll post them side by side! these will probably be the last of her cute toothless grin because there is a teeny tooth beginning to pop through!

the pumpkin patch

Over the weekend we got to spend a beautiful fall day at the pumpkin patch! The sun was out but it was that wonderfully chilly fall crisp in the air. Carter was so excited about going to the pumpkin patch. We got to ride out to the patch on a tractor pulled hay ride, which he LOVED of course! He even wanted to drive! haha!

The ride was a bit bumpy & sissy wasn't so sure about it but C was being a super lovey big brother and gave her smoochies & told her it was ok! How cute is that?! 

Pumpkins! C was going crazy saying, "oh! look at this pumpkin! no wait, look at this one!!!" 

Sissylou found a pumpkin her size!

Well, as of last weekend my babe is 6 months old! SIX MONTHS! Where did the time go? That's half a YEAR! sheesh.

Current stats:
17lbs!
26.5"!

So I have an excellent excuse of why I don't have any 6mos portraits yet.....I was super sick over the weekend & the first half of this week. I had strep throat & I could have sworn I was dying! It was purely awful. I think all mommies should be exempt from any illness! Its not fair that we have to take care of everything else except ourselves when all we want to do is crawl in a hole & sleep! So soon, I will torture her yet again with some kind of mini photo session! ;) But until then, enjoy these of her & her overwhelming cuteness!

thank goodness for antibiotics because they finally kicked in as of today & i feel tons better!
OR maybe it was because the office was back on tonight....i don't know. ;)

This weekend we dressed up in some of the totally raddest 80s wear that we could find to attend our good friends, Dave & Sherry's 25th wedding anniversary party. It was a surprise that their kids put together & since they got married in the early 80s that inspired the theme. So many people were there & everyone was dressed to the nine in 80s wear! It was awesome! 

The cake was pretty cool too....its of a photo they took back in the 80s (go figure!) & of them dressed up like rock stars posing for a fake magazine. hahaha!!!

Awhile back, we got our hands on their print of this photo & we've been waiting for the day to blow it up huge.....well wait no more! it was about 4ft tall! hahahaha!
