still pregnant. 

belly update!

This morning I had another check up at the doctor's to check my progression. I am now 4.5-5cm dilated & thinned most of the way! So my dr. said that if I start having some stronger contractions to just go right in. She would rather I have a false alarm then have a baby in the car on the way! Yikes!  I have been having some irregular contractions since yesterday and early this morning I woke up with really intense low back pain! So she is definitely on her way! Hopefully sooner rather than later! =) Wish us luck & pray for a speedy, smooth delivery! Hopefully next time I post it will be that she is here! ;)

Oh, & the photo below is from this morning....yes that white stuff is SNOW! What the! We woke up to it dumping snow and the whole ground white! Crazy! Hello, its the END of MARCH! Snow, you had your chance to fall back in JAN or FEB! NOT NOW! I want spring & sun!!!! Weird weather.....maybe this means I'll be having a baby today b/c the weather is so wacky! hahaha!!!! I could only wish....

Last weekend a photographer friend of mine came over to help take some family photos with my baby belly. C of course was being the lovely 2 yr old that he is & didn't want to cooperate! He was too hyper with my friend's kids playing downstairs! haha!! But I think she got some good shots & then I got to work adding my own artistic touch by editing them!! 

Not much longer & baby sissy will be here! =) We are getting super excited & anxious! 

any time now...

So today I had a dr. appointment & the dr. checked if see if things were progressing & so far I am 3-4cm dilated & 50% effaced (thinned out) & the baby is really low. Like she could feel the baby's head when she checked me! She said that since the head is so low, that I'll go quick, quicker than before so not to dally around & to get to the hospital quickly! 

No wonder I was feeling so crappy last week! Joy (my dr.) said that it was normal progress for 2nd time babies. She said that we most likely wouldn't need half of our remaining appts so that means next week's is it & that hopefully she'll see me soon! 

So my progress is about the same as with C, maybe more dilation sooner this time but about the same thinning out. At 38weeks & 2 days with C, I was 4cm & 80% effaced & I went into labor the next day. So I guess we'll see when she wants to make her entrance in to this world! =) 

YIKES! I am so nervous! I feel like each day is going to be miserably long, wondering if that day is going to be THE DAY.

3am

Its 3am & what are you doing? I am guessing that you are all cozy nestled in your bed, dreaming pleasant dreams. While I am wide awake and miserable. What a wonderful combination for a 9 mos pregnant lady! UGH! I have yet been asleep tonight. Wait, I take that back. I did fall asleep for 20 whole minutes only to wake up feeling refreshed as though I took a power nap! 

My heartburn is so bad I feel like there's a smoldering fire burning in my lungs and at any given time I could shoot fire out of my mouth. Plus, the babe is using my bladder as a snuggly lil pillow! I have peed every 10-=15mins since 11pm! Wonderful. I just cannot get comfortable. I can barely roll over in bed. My belly tightens up so hard &I  just can't move!  Then the hips start to ache. Ah! so restless! 

My poor hubby...he is laying with his back turned and covers over his head while the super bright light from my lap top illuminates the room. I have browsed the net & watched about 10 DVR'd HGTV shows & now have resorted to blogging! Good times. 

Why does God make the end of pregnancy so miserable?! Seriously. My body needs to rest up for the vastly approaching grueling labor thats a head. Less than 27 days (or less) to go. UGH.

low key days

Our days have been very low key lately. Mainly consisting of the following activities: playing with cars/trucks/construction trucks, painting, watching Cars (this one occurs more than I'd like it to), or reading stories. I am just running out of energy to keep up with an active 2 yr old! 

So today we read his at-the-moment fav book, Snoozers by Sandra Boynton. He loves to pretend to yawn! 

Then he ran into our bedroom saying, "night-night, daddy's bed" & climbed in on RJ's side (yes the bed is/was not made! oops!) & pretended to "sleep"! 

Then he noticed I had the camera & sat up to say "cheese momma, yay!!!" It was so cute! 

We talked about the clouds in the sky that we could see & the birds chirping about & he would say, "you heared (pronounced hear-ed) that momma?!"

We had a nice mellow day! 

ultrasound!

Today I went in for an ultrasound because at my last appointment, if you recall, I was measuring small for how along I was supposed to be.  Anyways, everything is looking fantastic! She (yes, its still a girl! yay! haha) is measuring right on schedule & weighs approx 5lbs 12 oz already! She will gain about 1/2 lb a week now and with 5 weeks to go still she maybe a whopper! HAHA! About 7.5 - 8lbs. Which is about what Carter weighed (7lbs 7oz). I am so thankful that everything is going great in there! 

However, the actual appointment was miserable! We took C b/c we thought we would enjoy seeing his baby sissy on the screen & he usually does well at all my other appointments. But NOT this time! He threw a fit the entire time! He wanted to walk around and roam the halls and to not be in that room! Gosh! 2 year olds!!! I felt bad for A.) the tech-b/c she had to listen to him scream (luckily she was great and didn't get irritated) & B.) RJ didn't get to see much and participate b/c he was dealing w/ a back-arching, screaming kid. Sorry love! 

So here is the profile pic we got of her. Its hard to see but if you look closely you can see her head on the right hand side and see the profile of her nose. Then she has her hand in front of her face. 

I am getting SO EXCITED to meet her! Its going to be a long 5 weeks!!! 

EDITED: I forgot to include this sweet lil tid-bit in earlier when I posted....when the technician first brought her on the screen, Carter immediately shouted, "Oh! chomp-chomp!!" HAHAHA! I was like...oh I don't think that's a chomp in there! LOL!!! so funny

my pregnancy portraits!

Over the weekend I had a pregnancy shoot & while the stuff was set up we decided to take some of me! Like I don't have enough of me already! haha! But it was my turn to be in front of the camera for some professional shots! Of course Carter was being a stinker and wouldn't cooperate! No, a 2-yr not cooperate! That's unheard of!! haha! He always gives my belly kisses and hugs it but of course when the camera is out...not gonna happen! Oh well, we got lucky and got some good shots! =)
