the sweetest moment.

& i captured it! although i wish it wasn't half on the kitchen floor & the carpet. oh well....it still makes my heart smile! 

**ok so i thought i'd elaborate on little bit more of this 'sweet' moment. you see daily C is not always the nicest big brother to his sister. if she gets near his toys, he'll yell at the top of his lungs, "NO! STOP IT RIGHT NOW!" then roar at her with all his might. she then cries. then i step in & calmly state, "carter, that's not how we talk to each other. please tell her in a nice voice. she doesn't understand, she's a baby..." fast forward 5 minutes & its like i am stuck in my own version of  Groundhog's Day. Didn't I just tell him to stop screaming at her?! ugh! He is not always like this, obviously from the photos below. He does have some super sweet moments with her. Just as long as she is no where near his stuff! 

carter's big day out!

For C's birthday this year we had a big day out! We headed down town to ride MAX to the zoo! His cousins were able to come along too! The MAX sped through a tunnel & that was just so fun! ;)

Between RJ's sisters & us we all have kids that are extremely close in age which makes it so fun for play dates!

The zoo was so much fun, the weather was a-maz-ing & we got to see some really fun animals! 

After walking around the zoo for a bit we hopped back on the MAX towards down town for a cupcake treat at Saint Cupcake! 

These cupcakes were delicious & the kids loved them! Actually I think they just loved the frosting!!! I tried a new one call the Elvis- banana-chocolate chip cupcake with peanut butter fudge frosting! It was heavenly scrumptious! 

All in all we had a fantastic day! I cannot believe I have a 3 year old! *wipes away a tear*

Yesterday was C's birthday & we had a wonderful day! More on that later!

sweets.

we had a wonderful valentine's day. it was full of sweets & treats (& not to mention super hyper-ness!)

C started the day off by waking me up @ 6:50am! wonderful. as i stumbled in the kitchen, still half asleep & blurry vision (didn't have my glasses on!) i noticed something on the table!

then it was off to starbucks to get some much need caffeine.....

for breakfast i made heart-shaped banana-chocolate-chip pancakes! soooo good & even better heart-shaped of course! ;)

after breakfast, C helped me baked some red velvet "pupcakes" as he calls them. let me just say, it was a MESS!



the finished product! he ended up eating three! every time i turned around he'd swipe another & chomp on it before i can do anything about. 

then later he helped daddy make some tripple chocolate espresso cookies! they were sooooo yummy! & of course daddy let C have a "baby" one!  much to my reluctance.......shortly after we had our very own revved up race car running laps around the house. so fun. ;) 

we sure wished lola & papi were here to come get him by the end of the day!!!! ;)

10!!

yup. the sister is 10 months old today! i'm going to be honest here- at first i was a tad skeptical about being head-over-heels in love with another babe. in fact i was down right scared & felt like i was betraying C by having another baby! i mean, how could you love something else so much? there couldn't possibly be anymore room in my already full-to-the-brim heart! but she arrived on scene & i can't imagine my life without her. without either of them. i am so in love & it feels so good! 

p.s. isn't she positively squishable??!!!
