choo-choo!

Over the weekend we went up to Hood River to ride the train. It takes you up through all the orchards. It was the perfect fall day with warm sun shinning down. C loved the ride so much he has done nothing but talk about the train since! He even set up his own pretend train that he climbs on saying, "all aboard!" But he did not like it when the whistle blew...he said it was too loud! 

Of course between RJ & I we took close to 500 photos! So I'll post more from our day soon!

since halloween isn't very far away (that is just crazy!!!) i had to get out the chicken costume C wore during his first halloween & try it on sissylou!!!! i cracked up so hard when i put it on her!

dinner with a friend!

Last night we met one of my best friends for dinner! I've known Codie since the days of badly hair sprayed bangs in middle school! She was in town visiting family so we got together so she could meet K for the first time! C of course took a liking to her and became best pals with her...they loaded up his dump trucks with tots & crayons! haha!

 It was good to catch up, Codie I miss you!!! 

C goes, "i want to be in the picture too..." but he didn't want to stand next to us! haha!

Tonight K got to try peas for the first time! She's had rice cereal & oatmeal & loves them both. So time to move on to some veggies! yum! She of course LOVED the peas too! She says, "mmmh" with every bite. But before she could eat some one else decided they might want to try this thing out.....

The other evening we walked up to the school to kick the ball around & enjoy this lovely warm weather before it disappears! C sported his super cute Barca jersey we got him in Spain 2 summers ago & he gets to finally wear it!!!! Go Barcelona!  C is quite the lil sport! Check out his form..... RJ says that he is already showing some good signs of super athleticism!!! oh gosh. he was even trying to do some heal passes! it was so cute to watch.

the zoo!

Labor Day we went to the zoo to see the new baby elephant that was just born! He doesn't have a name yet so you can go vote for a potential here. He was so cute & looked so tiny compared to his mama.

C was so cute when we went in to see the baby. While putting his finger up to his lips he said, "shhhhh we gotta be quiet. the baby is in there." awww.....

we timed going to the zoo at a good time because when we were leaving there was an enormous line to get in!

C loves to help out in my parent's garden. He loves to water the plants & especially loves to find a tasty treat to snack on! There's carrots, green beans, raspberries, tomatoes, squash, radishes, cucumbers, strawberries, corn and pumpkins growing out there. C loves to pick the raspberries & the carrots! 

We love getting fresh fruits & veggies straight from the garden! yum!
