zoo lights

Tonight we took C to ride the train at the zoo lights! It was a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season! 

grateFULL!

Our Thanksgiving was great! My mom & I cooked & baked in the kitchen all day while the kids, Rj & my dad played & watched football (how typical, right?!). I baked some super cute & yummy baby pumpkin pies & berry pies! Brownies made it in there too! 

K enjoyed some sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes & turkey! She wasn't sure what to make of it all at first. All those new textures! But then she quickly got the hang of it and was shoveling it all in to her mouth!

After dinner we lounged on the couch in our turkey induced comas & watched some Texas football. Eventually we mustered up enough energy to bust the Wii out! We had to burn off our 4,000 calories we consumed! 

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Now the countdown to Christmas is on! I did venture out for some shopping today...it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Still too many dumb drivers out though! Sheesh! This time of year brings out the crazies!

I am so thankful for all that God has blessed me with- my family, friends, the roof over my head, the food in my tummy, my health. But most importantly the ones who fill my heart with love & joy....

to the max.

C has been obsessed with trains lately. Especially after we rode the big train a few months ago. He rode the MAX train once before and since then every time he sees it, he thinks he needs to get on it! So yesterday someone (Lola!) promised him that he could ride the max the next day. This morning as he awoke, guess what were the first words out of his mouth?! "can we go ride the max train now?" & he didn't stop asking about it until we were walking up to get on it! haha! So we hopped aboard & took it down town! (got a little shopping done too, 2 for 1 deal! yay!)

he was so cute, while we were on the max, he held my hand & wouldn't let go! i think he was a bit nervous when it would make stops then go again! 

we popped in to Starbucks to for a treat! a peppermint white chocolate mocha (my first of the season!! & the lil red cups are out now! yay! i love them!) for mommy & "hot" chocolate for C (aka chocolate milk!) 
We did a little shopping then headed to DragonFish for lunch....their dim sum is the best! sissy had some rice & you would have thought the poor girl was starved by the way she shoveled it in her mouth! Afterwards it looked like a rice ball had exploded! She definitely enjoyed her lunch!

hangin' around

we're still here. no worries, we didn't get abducted by aliens or anything of the sort. just been a little busy...4 photo shoots over the last two weekends, i got strep throat again for the second time in one month, staying up way too late editing photos then getting up way too early with the kids, designing holiday cards & other various holiday projects. ugh! 

stayed tuned for more updates...but until then, enjoy this little cutie pie....she cracks us up when she snags a toy and puts in it her mouth and lets it hang there (think- puppy dog)...

this is new too....not really sure what's the deal with this face but its cute!
