care for a spot of tea?

for the sister's 5th birthday she had a fancy tea party with her little girl friends in their fancy attire.
it was so much fun to plan and put together and of course, snap photos of! the girls had a lot of fun & so did i!

they dined on mini honey smoked turkey & gruyere  croissants sandwiches, croissants drizzled with chocolate, fruit, crudités, chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry lemonade & peppermint tea. it was quite lovely & delicious.

& of course I had to set up a little photo booth! 

this g o r g e o u s cake was made by the ever fab, anastasia baker. that girl can rock a chocolate cake like nobody's biz-naz. 

then, there's this guy.

goodbye 4 year old days!

so, its that time of year again. where you must say au revoir to those silly old 4 year old days

and bon jour to the big girl F I V E year old days. 

yessssssss.

let's start the day of great with a waffle smile and/or mustache. 

perfect. 

then!  be a zombie and chase your brother & brother's friend around. what better way to kill

some time before sending those two boys off to school than with a little zombie chase?

don't forget to wear sparkly shoes and your pj's to the bus stop. 

why? because you can and there is no other reason than that. 

p.s. find a teeny tiny snail and bring it home with you. 

it's celebration day at your preschool for your birthday! bring treats of the marshmallow-dipped-in- purple-chocolate-with-sparkle-dust kind.

 one must get dressed before heading out and request a teensy photo shoot.

work. that. camera. gurl. 

at school, celebrate you! 

& to finish off the wonderful day, receive a balloon from the cutest guy around ;) 

once home, eat lunch. rebuild your energy. then ask {????!!!!!} to vacuum? wha? 

 your mother has stopped cleaning for your totally awesome, fancy schmancy tea party birthday luncheon so she'll request some snuggle time. give in. she's superwoman and does tons for you and your brother. 

plus snuggle time is always a win-win ;)

it's about that time for an outfit change. hellllloooo....you've been in that current one WAY too long. 

eeek. 

popstar dress it is. plus a pretty bright shade of pink for the lips and a hair do change as well.

banana chocolate chip pancakes for dinner. yes indeed. 

time for lights out! but! first you must find the alligator's water in 

this totally challenging, totally fun & physics based app. 

brain strengthening people. brain. strengthening. 

& that! my friends, is how you send your four year old days a packin'. 

tomorrow's a new day filled with all sorts of 

ah-mazing FIVE year old things!!!!

today. is. the. day.

the day that you get to say goodbye to your 6 year old days,

aaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnddddd what's up to your S E V E N year old days! 

holla!

so! let's start the day off right. scrambled eggs, fruit & chocolate milk for breakfast. 

oh, and don't forget the bacon. {never forget the bacon}

then you must snuggle with your mom {insert eye rolling & "mom!" here}

because she is most likely frea-king out that you are turning 7. so, to stop her tears from forming,

snuggle her. for like 2minutes & then your are outtie 5,000 G. {sheesh!} 

set up some sort of base/game/step-on-these-toys-and-you'll-be-sorry type of thing scattered not in 1 room of the house, 

but! the! entire! downstairs! yes! muahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

then request that you watch youtube vids on WW2 & Pearl Harbor with your dad. 

maybe toss in some "how to" lego vids. 

gathering intelligence to build more of your mess creative play about the house. 

then! for kicks & giggles, how about "gangam style" vid.

because running around the house singing it drives your mother mad. & that's fun.

next up on the "to-do" list for this fine day, is to talk your Lola & Papi 

into taking you into the Lego Store! you don't need a reason to go there, its just

plain fun. 

duh. 

oh & score a few things. 

aaaaaaaaaannnnndd while you are in town, why not pick up Top Pot donuts? 

& eat them for lunch.

brilliant.

since building things has been on your mind. all. day. 

recruit your Papi to build a battleship with you. 

since pizza is one of your main food staples. you should have it for dinner. naturally.

one last time before turning in for the night. add a little bit of this & a little bit of that to your air carrier.

& that my friends, is how you say peace out to your six your days.

2012 according to my iPhone

i am not exactly sure how it happened. but it did. another year has vanished. so crazy how time is starting to

whizz by at an alarming rate these days. 

twenty tweleve was good to us. we did so many things from exploring our new neck of the woods, to vacationing in Hawaii, going to Sounders soccer games, to traveling south to PDX a lot for weddings and photo shoots.

it was a busy and fun year! 

things we are looking forward to in twenty thirteen:

-carter turning SEVEN & will be in the second grade

-kennedy turning FIVE & starting KINDERGARTEN!!!!

-celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary! 

-continuing growing my photog biz in the Seattle area

...and whatever else may come our way! 

& i promise to do a better job keeping this thing updated.
