Father's Day

We had an excellent Father's Day! (Happy Belated Father's Day to all you daddy's out there!) We went out to my parents for a BBQ! We tried taking a family photo but C was of course not cooperating! Such a two year old! Instead we captured him giving his "baby sissy" (he says he has 2 baby sissy's; his real one & his cabbage patch doll! haha!) a ride on the tractor! So cute & funny. What a good "big brother"!!!! =)

1.) Dream vacation- Sipping wine & eating delicious pasta in Italy! Somewhere in a villa in Tuscany.

OR.....on the beach in Maui! I constantly daydream about going back there. Oh man I can feel the ocean breeze now......
2.) Self portrait- does this count?! I think it qualifies since I seem to always have a camera glued to my face! =)

3.) What my kids are doing right now-technically they are BOTH sleeping right now! But this is what they were doing at the time...of course C is driving some sort of truck on her! 

4.) My closet- well I am at my parents so this is the closet in the guest room in which we stay in! Note the giant digger! A future gift for the C man & this morning he saw it & shrilled in excitement, "OH A DIGGER MOMMY!!!!!"

5.) My favorite room- At my mom's house I'd say it's C's new room! Yes, he has a room all to himself!!! 
AND when I can steal away a few minutes I LOVE my mom's huge walk-in shower complete with a rain shower head. ahhhh it's glorious. 

6.) My favorite shoes-Like Carolyn I have a ton of favs! But since I am at my mom's I guess I'll just have to with my fav flippies! Super comfy. Oh dear, my toes are in distress....they are in need of another pedi! =)

7.) The laundry room-yes that is a washer/dryer in the closet!!! My parents have one in their closet! How convenient! Makes putting away clothes super easy!!!

8.) The toilet-really a pic of a toilet? weird. But whatever. Here's the one in the guest bath. 

9.) The kitchen sink-loaded with the remnants of breakfast (I made banana pancakes), & a breast pump. Speaking of which, I should probably go clean it up before my parents get home! haha!!
10.) The fridge-My mom has a massive fridge! You could probably stuff a body in there!! haha!! Or have enough food to feed a football team!

C had a fun-filled weekend! On Friday RJ's uncle Tom brought his "baby digger" over to do some "works" at my parent's house & needless to day C thought that was the best thing ever! He sat on his own digger and copied every move the digger made! He stayed outside for 4 hours! He did not want to come back in!!! haha!!

Then on Saturday there was a pancake breakfast up at the fire station and they let the kids (& adults too) ride the fire trucks! C loved that! He even got to honk the horn!! He had 4 rides! Papi took him twice, daddy took him once & so did mommy!

a new friend!

Today the kids and I went to visit a good friend, Laurie & her new baby girl Eden! Laurie also has a 2 year old son that is 1 week older than C! And now she has a baby girl who is 6.5 weeks younger than K!!!  Yay for fun play dates!! Eden is gorgeous lil peanut! I was able to take some photos of her & of course I got some with K and new BFF! ;) heehee.....

So cute! Look at how huge Kennedy looks next to her!!! chunk-a-monk!!!   =)

we're going to the zoo

Every time I think about the zoo those lyrics to that catchy-get-stuck-in-your-head-for-days song by Raffi comes to mind! (thanks to my days as a preschool teacher!!)

Anyways, we took the kids to the zoo on Friday! We thought that Carter would really enjoy seeing all the animals & we were right! He had a lot of fun even though there were about 8 bazillion elementary school kids there on a field trip! ahhhhh!!!! 

In the car on the way there he kept saying, "I going to the zoo. I go to the zoo yah, to see elphants (no I did not miss spell it..thats how he was pronouncing it!) & giraffes!". So we worked our way down to the African Savannah to see them.... unfortunately the giraffes weren't out. 

Another animal high on C's must-see list were the chomps (alligators/crocodiles) but again they weren't out. Their aquarium was getting cleaned. I was so sad!! I was so looking forward to seeing Carter see the real life chomps! boo! But there was one tiny "baby chomp" (that's what he called it) in the tank with some huge fish. So at least that satisfied him!

The most exciting exhibit was the polar bears. They were super playful and Carter got really excited seeing the bears playing. One of the bears jumped in the pool and C goes, "Oh huge waterfall!" Haha!!! Oh yes, we had to look for waterfalls at every exhibit b/c he is also obsessed about waterfalls right now too.....

After we got home we enjoyed a yummy treat out on the back deck! What a way to end of great day!! Carter sure enjoyed his treat! HAHA!!  YUM!
