Carter is still a bit sick(& I think RJ & I might be catching it too) so we laid low all weekend! It was nice! A low key playdoh weekend! Carter got a new set of Playdoh that came with all kinds of tools. He was so excited about it & wanted to play with it all the time!

Saturday Daddy & Carter made animals out of the stencils & just discovered all the new tools...

"driving" his turtle! everything is motorized according to him!!

Sunday Daddy & Carter made a "construction site" with the playdoh & his construction trucks! They made rocks and logs & hauled them around in the dump truck & lifted them with the digger! How fun! Carter loved that!!

Yesterday we walked up to the little park near our house. Carter has been sick for the past two days so we needed some good outside time! I love this time of year. The leaves are begining to turn and the air is just a little bit crisp. I love fall!

Fall is here & that means that Halloween in right around the corner! I found this online at babystyle & just had to get it for Carter!!! It just came today! He is so stinkin cute in it!! There is a hat that looks like a turtle head but he is not wearing it in these pics. When I first put him in it this morning he HATED it! He ran around trying to get it off. I was laughing so hard it was hard for me to hold the camera still! Then later on once RJ got home he put it back on and he loved it so much he didn't want to take it off to go to bed! HAHA!! SO CUTE!!! I can't wait till Halloween!

what is up with the title you ask? just wait....i'll explain later...

but first, sorry this is behind! i didn't have a card reader all week long to download my photos! ah! we had a great time w/ Rob & Mitzi & were sad to see them leave. Carter really enjoyed having a playmate around during the day besides boring ole mom!!
During the week it was just Rob, Carter & I all day. We went out to lunch, went & watched RJ play soccer at his lunch, & mainly Rob & Carter had fun playing trucks, & running around!! He also loved all the fun new trucks that Tia & Lola spoiled him with!! sheesh!

The last night we grilled some steaks & popped open a bottle of wine (i only got to smell!) & were sitting around chatting when the subject of Miss South Carolina came up...so we piled around a lap top to watch her infamous speech on YouTube. Then later on in the evening, after much wine had been consumed my dad starting commenting about the speech and the word "Irafrica" came out of his mouth!!! We all busted up laughing so hard!!! He meant to say Iraq & South Africa but "Irafrica" came out instead!! Oh boy, we couldn't let him live it down for the rest of the night! He was cut off after that!! hahah!! If you for some reason have no idea what we are talking about please watch it...so hilarious!

Then as the night wore on, music filled the room & then singing began! Rob is famous for karaoking after a few drinks. Luckily I never go far without a camera!!! =) Videos soon to come!

wine tasting

On Friday my Aunt Mitzi & Uncle Rob (who we call Tía & Tío) flew in from Florida! They are here for a week. Mitzi has to work up in Seattle for a few days this week & Rob came along to visit!
Yesterday we took them out to the North Willamette Valley(Yamhill County) for wine tasting! We took them to one of our favs Sineann for some yummy pinot noir & old zin! Of course I didn't get to taste...just smell! :( They enjoyed the scenery out there and bought some wine to bring back!
For lunch we ate at this cute little bistro, The French Bear. We then headed back home & stopped at Coldstone for ice cream then Costco for some goodies for today's big game day! The Seattle Seahawks vs. The Tampa Bay Bucs (Mitzi & Rob are big fans!). It should be fun to watch!

18 mos!

I cannot believe that my boy is 18 mos old already! Its been such a blessing & a joy to watch him grow into this little boy. He is so funny & cracks me up all day long. From all the different truck noises to him saying "no no no!". A smile is permantly on my face because of him! Carter, I love you more & more each day!

april 2008!

that is when baby #2 is due to arrive! yep, carter's going to be a big brother!!!
we are so excited! i am almost 9 weeks along & last week we had our first dr. appt & got to see the little peanut on the ultrasound! it was sooo tiny! so amazing!

i've been feeling ok this time. i know some things are better from the first pregnancy with carter. but this time i feel so emotionally wimpy!!! two back-to-back migraines hit me like a mack truck over the weekend! ugh!!! i hate this first trimester stuff!!

well check back often for updates! of course i'll be bloggin this journey! =)
