luau!

aloha!

well its been a busy few days! :) so i'll start with saturday!

saturday morning we walked down & got some coffee at this great place that serves kona coffee. its the best, even better than that place that begins with an S & ends in an tarbucks..heehee....

i'm serious.

then we headed down to old lahania & walked around. there was a saturday market w/ local artists so we checked that out. we came back to the condo for lunch because carter was getting hungry & sleepy. so we lounged outside while he took a snoozy!

that night the boys surprised us with a luau for mother's day!! we went to the feast at lele's. its located in old lahania. they serve you 5 courses from different islands. hawaii, tahiti, new zealand & samoa. plus they do a traditional dance from each island. the food was fantastic! i even tried mahi mahi & a swordfish dish in a coconut cream sauce w/ tomatoes, cucumber & cilantro! (i dislike the taste of seafood!) we each got a lei as we entered & drink! mai tai's please! :)

carter was enthralled with the dancing & especially the drums. he bobbed his head up & down like he was rocking out! it was so cute!!! he did really well even though the luau went well in to the late hours of the evening!

if you are ever in maui, you must go see a luau! & the best part of all....the waiters are shirtless! HAHA!! ;) ok well only half of them were buff....hahaha....sorry no pics of the wait staff ladies! ;)

the very end of the show concluded with some fire dancing! it was so cool! it was a great evening & it was so nice of my dad & rj to treat us to such a great dinner/show for mother's day! thanks guys! :)
